Redbird is a powerhouse six-piece band that blends the best of classic rock, folk, country, and blues into a soulful, high-energy live music experience. Covering beloved hits from 1970s legends to modern Americana favorites, Redbird delivers a rich, genre-spanning sound that resonates with fans of classic storytelling and heartfelt musicianship.
At the heart of Redbird’s dynamic sound is Loretta Crenshaw, a captivating lead vocalist whose warm, expressive voice brings fresh energy to songs by artists like Linda Ronstadt, Lucinda Williams, Rosanne Cash, and The Chicks. Supporting her with tight harmonies and versatile keyboard work is Kristal Kuykendall, whose vocal blend and instrumental textures add emotional depth to every performance.
On guitar, Redbird features a formidable duo: Jimmy Smith, a career blues guitarist known for his fiery solos and deep musical roots, and James Kyker, whose rhythm and lead guitar work infuses every song with drive and nuance. Scott High anchors the band with groove-heavy, melodic bass lines, while Rita Shepler keeps the beat locked in with powerful, precise drumming that seamlessly shifts across styles.
Redbird’s setlist includes timeless songs from Fleetwood Mac, JJ Cale, Allman Brothers, and Willie Nelson to modern Americana staples, appealing to fans of multiple generations. Whether it’s a moody blues number, a moving country anthem, or a rousing rock-and-roll classic, Redbird brings authenticity, chemistry, and passion to every stage they play.
