We are looking for a Full Time Brewer OR a FT-temporary position brewer.

FULL-TIME BREWER

Eureka Springs, AR  •  Full-Time Salary  •  On-site

Who We Are

Gotahold Brewing is a small-batch, 7-barrel craft brewery rooted in the heart of the Ozark Mountains in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. It’s a quirky, vibrant town of fewer than 2,300 residents — proudly LGBTQ+-friendly, rarely dull, and packed with world-class mountain biking, hiking, fishing, SUP and kayaking, a thriving local music and art scene, and some of the best motorcycle roads in the country.

Our mission: craft exceptional fermented beverages using sustainable practices and local ingredients that honor tradition while enriching our community and creating meaningful work. Our vision: to be a distinguished Ozark brewery known for quality craftsmanship, share-worthy products, and positively memorable experiences for generations to come. We’re proud to be part of a town where 95% of businesses are locally owned — and it shows in everything from the culture to the community.

A Rare Opportunity to Learn From the Best

As a brewer here, you’ll work directly under Dave, a GABF and World Beer Cup award-winning Master Brewer with 30+ years in craft brewing. Dave holds the highest level of technical and formal education in brewing science, and he left a large regional brewery specifically to focus on making the best beers possible — in small batches, the right way. This is a real opportunity to work alongside a highly decorated brewer and deepen your craft.

In today’s highly automated brewing industry, the opportunity to learn hands-on, traditional brewing technique from a Master Brewer of Dave’s caliber is genuinely rare. If you care about the craft, this is where you grow.

The Job

This is real, manual brewing work at a human scale. A typical week looks like:

  • Brewing (approx. 1 day)
  • Canning on a Gosling/Wild Goose 1-head canner (approx. 1 day)
  • Cellars work — fermentation management, transfers, quality checks (approx. 2 days)
  • Cleaning and light administrative duties (daily)

You’ll have administrative/technical support. We brew a mix of lagers and ales. The physical demands are real: malt sack lifting and stacking half-barrel kegs come with the territory.

Who We’re Looking For

We’re open to two types of candidates:

  • Someone with shift brewing or cellars experience ready to step into a more comprehensive role and grow significantly — fast
  • An experienced brewer seeking a better quality of life than their current situation provides

In either case, you’ll need to bring enough foundational knowledge to work independently from nearly day one. Self-direction matters here. Minimum 2 years of professional brewing experience required.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary
  • Two weeks paid vacation
  • Paid sick time
  • Flexibility on work days and scheduling (with the occasional scramble — brewing waits for no one)
  • Administrative and technical support

Quality of Life — Because It Matters

Eureka Springs is one of those places that gets a hold of you. The town sits in the heart of the Ozark Mountains and punches well above its weight:

  • World-class mountain biking, hiking, fishing, SUP and kayaking right outside your door
  • Consistently top-rated area for motorcycle touring
  • Thriving local music and arts scene
  • 95% of businesses in Eureka Springs are locally owned — no chains, no big-box monoculture
  • LGBTQ+-friendly, welcoming, and genuinely funky
  • A community that feels like belonging, not just a place to live

People move here and don’t leave. There’s something to that.

BREWER — TEMPORARY FULL-TIME ASSIGNMENT

Eureka Springs, AR  •  Temporary Full-Time  •  Pay + Housing + Mountain Bike Included

The Short Version

Seeking a skilled, capable brewer to keep the tanks happy and the beer flowing while the Master Brewer is out on medical leave. In exchange, we’ll provide pay, housing, and a mountain bike to explore one of the best riding destinations in the country. Not a bad temporary gig.

Who We Are

Gotahold Brewing is a small-batch, 7-barrel craft brewery in Eureka Springs, Arkansas — a wildly charming Ozark mountain town of fewer than 2,300 residents with outsized personality. Think world-class mountain biking, incredible hiking, fishing, kayaking, a buzzing local music and art scene, and a community that’s proudly LGBTQ+-friendly. Ninety-five percent of businesses in Eureka Springs are locally owned — no chains, no corporate monoculture, just real people running real places.

We’re a brewery built on craftsmanship, not automation. Our co-owner and Master Brewer, Dave — a 30+ year industry veteran and GABF and World Beer Cup award winner — runs the show. You’d be working alongside and under his direction, which is a genuinely rare thing in modern craft brewing.

The Assignment

Approximately 32 hours per week. A typical week includes:

  • 2 brews in a single day on a 7-barrel, largely manual brewhouse
  • 2 days of cellars work — fermentation management, transfers, and quality care
  • 1 canning run per week on a Gosling (1-head Wild Goose canner)
  • Standard cleaning duties

We brew a mix of lagers and ales. You’ll have technical/administrative support from Dave.

What We’re Looking For

You know your way around a brewhouse and can work independently. You’re comfortable with manual brewing at this scale — that means lifting malt sacks and handling half-barrel kegs. You’re self-directed, take quality seriously, and communicate well when something comes up. If you’re between gigs or just want a meaningful change of scenery for a stretch, this is for you.

Minimum 2 years of professional brewing experience required.

What You Get

  • Pay
  • Housing provided
  • A mountain bike to use during your stay
  • Technical support from Dave
  • About 32 hours/week — manageable, not grinding

The Place: Eureka Springs, Arkansas

It’s genuinely hard to oversell Eureka Springs. Tucked into the Ozark Mountains, it’s the kind of place people visit for a weekend and end up staying for years. During your assignment, you’d have access to:

  • World-class mountain biking trails right out the door (hence the bike)
  • Hiking, fishing, kayaking, and SUP on the White River and surrounding lakes
  • Consistently top-rated roads for motorcycles
  • A thriving live music and arts scene
  • A quirky, friendly, LGBTQ+-inclusive community with an unforgettable cast of locals

It’s a blue dot in the Ozarks and there is rarely a dull moment.
